Brian Schorn and Jen Baker - Body Bits [CYC-017]
Body Bits is an improvisational collaboration between Brian Schorn (analog synthesis, signal processing, tapes, voice) and Jen Baker (trombone, didgeridoo, voice). The title and conceptual framework for the piece originated from a novelty package of rubbery human parts labeled "Body Bits." We decided to apply the same raw, organic and malleable quality to our improvisation.
"Body Bits I" is wide-rangingsonic exploration incorporating the human body from head to toe.
"Body Bits II" is a somber,
reflective exploration working it's way through the human brain.
Both tracks were recorded live at Cantabury
House in Ann Arbor, MI with no post-production editing or processing.
