8-Bit Porno 8-Bit Porno was a solo project started by Adam Mokan in 2002 in the cold basement of an old clothing store in Flint, Michigan. After a couple of early shows, Jim Bielecki (guitar/noise) and Todd Gillissie (bass/jackass) hopped on for the ride. We performed a string of shows in early 2004 with the likes of Wolf Eyes, PBK, Cock ESP, and many others. Summer of 2004 took us on the road with Japan's Government Alpha, PBK, and Metal Dungeon. The disc, Rodenticide, documents some of the shows on this tour. Many practices and shows were recorded during 2004 and turned into the discs Digital Colonic and Arpeggio. In early 2005, Roy P joined the mix and turned 8BP into a 4-piece ball of chaos. Some more shows were played, more people were confused, and the rest is history. The final Flint, Michigan show on April 15th brought Steev Thompson into the fray for an explosive performance lasting only five minutes but leaving a pile of rubble and shrapnel in the audience. Days after, the 'core' lineup of Todd Gillissie, Jim Bielecki, and Adam Mokan formed to play a house party. Adam moved to Arizona a week later. In January 2006, Mokan reformed 8-Bit Porno with the help of Ryan Avery, Andrew Jemsek, and Tristan Jemsek. The first two shows have resulted in severe wounds, massive blood loss, one smashed guitar, and a pair of broken glasses. Eventually we'll run out of equipment, blood, or both.
